Assignment #3; Podcasts

This podcast is primarily interviewing and conversing with a professional paintball player and his views on the new PSP rules, new team and the upcoming tournaments.  I enjoyed this podcast maybe because you would not see this on the news.  But the discussion matter was relevant for me because I enjoy paintball and also the new rules etc.  The difference between this and a radio station is the time length devoted to one subject. This podcast was 97 minutes long, there’s no ongoing radio discussion that long.  Also the commercial aspect, this podcast didn't have any commercials and there wasn’t any advertising. Another difference is the format it’s more of a conversation amongst a friend.  But a similarity is presentation; it was presented in a professional manner. Overall this was a great experience with a great podcast.  I don’t listen to podcasts but I am definitely going to tune in to pbaccess' podcasts in the near future.

My second podcast is about firearms and its perks. This podcast has a lot of natural sound, if it's from music to shot sound this podcast has it all.  They also bring in a few guest, one of the more focused on guest was the hero that took down the shooter in Oregon.  He had taken down the shooter who open fired in a campus in Oregon.  He took multiple gunshot wounds and broken legs to take the shooter down.  This podcast was very informative and presents information in an organized manner.  This podcast is not like the radio for a few reasons.  For instance, for the time that I had listened to they had cursed a few times.  Also they are conversing more as friends than a coworker.  This podcast also didn't have any commercials unlike the typical radio broadcasting.  The information flowed extra smoothly and I enjoyed the podcast.  Reasoning for choosing this podcast is because I am pro-gun and like to hear other minds that think like mine.

This podcast is about Kevin Hart explaining multiple issues in today’s world with a twist, it’s hilarious.  I chose this podcast because I think Kevin Hart is extremely funny, also he is my favorite comedian.  He explains the many factors of today's society including social media and the positives and negatives.  This podcast isn't like the typical radio broadcasting for several reasons.  For example, he curses throughout the entire podcast, and you will not hear a single curse on the radio, and to be honest I think the cursing aspect plays a big role for some odd reason. The entirety of the podcast there was not a commercial, which is great because it is more enjoyable, because I am not being cut off by random advertisements.  This podcast was very enjoyable and convenient.  I never knew that Kevin Hart had a podcast, but I’m going to download them via iTunes and just listen to them wherever and whenever.  It was a great experience.
